Consumer Health Data does not include information that is publicly available, de-identified, or aggregated. What Consumer Health Data we collect may differ depending on how you interact with us.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Categories of Consumer Health Data We Collect<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Consumer Health Data we collect may include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Y-DNA or mtDNA haplogroup<\/li>\n<li>Genetic sequence\/information<\/li>\n<li>Genealogy data<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Categories of Sources of Consumer Health Data<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>As described in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gedmatch.com\/privacy-policy-november-22-2024\/#categories\">Categories of Sources of Personal Information section<\/a> of our Privacy Policy, we may collect Personal Data, including Consumer Health Data, directly from you, from when you use our products and services, public records, and third parties.<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Our Purposes for Collecting and Using Consumer Health Data<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>We collect, use, disclose, or otherwise process your Consumer Health Data as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gedmatch.com\/privacy-policy-november-22-2024\/#pi\">Personal Information chart<\/a> in our main Privacy Policy.<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">How We Disclose Your Consumer Health Data<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>We disclose your Consumer Health Data as reasonably necessary to Third Parties and Affiliates, which may include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Service Providers. We may disclose your Consumer Health Data to service providers that help us provide the Services or perform business functions on our behalf.<\/li>\n<li>Advertising Partners. These parties help us market our services and provide you with other offers that may be of interest to you.<\/li>\n<li>Parties You Authorize, Access or Authenticate. Third parties you authorize via the privacy option that you select. For example, if you are a GEDmatch user, you may authorize the matching of kits you upload with kits uploaded by users of GEDmatch and GEDmatch PRO.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For additional detail, please see the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gedmatch.com\/privacy-policy-november-22-2024\/#howwedisclosepersonalinfo\">How We Disclose Your Personal Information<\/a>\u201d section of our privacy policy.<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Washington Consumer Health Data Rights<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>If you are a Washington resident whose Consumer Health Data we have collected, or we have collected your Consumer Health Data in Washington, you have rights set forth in this section subject to certain exceptions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><u>Access<\/u><\/em>: You have the right to request confirmation of or access to the Consumer Health Data that we process about you, including a list of all third parties and affiliates with whom we have disclosed or sold your Consumer Health Data and their contact information.<\/li>\n<li><em><u>Deletion<\/u><\/em>: You have the right to request that we delete the Consumer Health Data that we have collected about you.<\/li>\n<li><em><u>Withdraw Consent<\/u><\/em>: You have the right to withdraw consent from us collecting and disclosing your Consumer Health Data.<\/li>\n<li><em><u>Appeal<\/u><\/em>: If we refuse to take action on your request within a reasonable period of time after receiving your request in accordance, you may appeal our decision. If we deny your appeal, you have the right to contact the Washington Attorney General at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atg.wa.gov\/file-complaint\">atg.wa.gov\/file-complaint<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To exercise your rights, you must send us a request that (1) provides sufficient information (including account login credentials, first name, last name and\/or email address) to allow us to verify that you are the person about whom we have collected Consumer Health Data, and (2) describes your request in sufficient detail to allow us to understand, evaluate and respond to it.
